The BullSequana X400 series servers X430-A5 and X440-A5 are dual-socket 1U servers and, when configured as described below, are approved and supported for use with Pod DA and switched systems.

3.1. X430-A5 2U1N2S server for Pod DA systems

The BullSequana X430-A5 2U1N2S server can be used for IPU‑POD16 or Bow Pod16 DA systems. The following table defines the recommended configuration for this server.

3.3. X440-A5 2U4N2S multi-user server for Pod switched systems

The BullSequana X440-A5 2U4N2S server can be used as a multi-user server in IPU‑POD64 or Bow Pod64 switched systems. It can also be used in larger switched systems. The following table defines the recommended configuration for this server in a IPU‑POD64 or Bow Pod64 - note that you will need at least one server per IPU‑POD64 or Bow Pod64 in larger systems. For an IPU‑POD256 or Bow Pod256, which is four IPU‑POD64 or Bow Pod64 logical racks connected together, you will therefore need at least four servers.
